Notes[]

  1. "Nerf-herder" is originally said by Leia Organa, who's Alderaanian. Nerfs are livestock native to Alderaan but have been introduced to other planets in the Core and inner Mid Rim.[13] Given that it's said by Princess Leia Organa[9] and is about farmers, it seems to be a fundamentally classist insult. Nerfs are infamously smelly and their spit is black and stains fabric, as well as being acidic,[13] so that probably plays into why it's nerf-herders specifically instead of another animal.

The human who uses it in Mace Windu: The Glass Abyss is a criminal enforcer on an Outer Rim planet, and he says it to a stranger, (Spoilers for The Glass Abyss) Mace Windu, who is disguised rather than being an obvious Jedi..[12]
